About the Founder
John E. Greif IV
Aviation’s been my life since day one. My father founded Tropic Air in 1979, Belize’s largest airline today, and I grew up steeped in the airline world—learning the ropes from gate to cockpit.
That drive led me to the U.S. Air Force, where I honed my skills on the C-17, followed by 15+ years leading operations at Tropic Air and Southern Airways Express, the U.S.’s largest commuter airline. I drove route growth by 35%, trimmed millions in costs, fueled massive revenue gains, and built teams that delivered every time. Now, at Aerogen, Inc., I’m putting that experience to work, helping businesses grow smarter and stronger.
At home, I’m with my wife and five kids, where family keeps my feet on the ground between the skies.
